Hangar details …… 

Hangar 7 is located at Second Street Moorabbin Airport Mentone. It is 1210 square metres with sliding door access at either end onto the tarmac. Second Avenue also terminates at the tarmac which allows easy access to load your  aircraft through the lounge access door. The lounge has 2 toilets, coffee/tea making facilities and honesty system of refrigerated drinks. It is possible to garage a vehicle while your aircraft is away as there is  an annex with access to Second Avenue. It has a new epoxy floor and as such provides a clean/bright environment to house your aircraft.

Facilities provided:

-key access.
-security system.
-lockers/shelves/storage for small items and seats etc.
-garage for up to three vehicles at a time.
-lounge with coffee/tea and cool drinks and beer available
-phone/fax/internet  access.
-personal service of moving aircraft in and out of the hanger...ready “for use”.
-refuelling of aircraft prior to flight.
-maintenance available at Blue Demon Aviation…2 hangars to the west… www.bluedemon.com.au

  Hours of operation

Normal hours of operation are 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday ( except public holidays). Weekends and after hours require a fee for call out of $60 per visit….unless prior arrangement has been made for removal or storage during normal working hours.

Hangar rates:...Jan 2010

The rates are GST exclusive and vary depending on the size of your aircraft. Examples are indicated below:

-Cabin class turbines                $POA
-Aero commander                     $1320
-Chieftain/Navajo                     $1045
-Baron/Aerostar                       $900
-Seneca                                 $825
-Singles                                  $635
-Sport aircraft                          $420

These rates are payable monthly , one month in advance. Discount for payment in advance of 5% for 6 months or 10% for 12 months applies. One month notice or payment of in lieu is required for termination by the customer. Payment of hangarage more than one month in arrears will terminate this contract.

Not included in rates

While it is our every intention to ensure aircraft are not damaged it is the owners responsibility to provide any aircraft insurance required while it is being moved or resides in the hangar. This includes any personal belongings that may be stored in the building and or lockers. Similarly any vehicles left on the site are at the owners risk.
